Ian qualified as a member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 1995, having entered the profession direct from Sixth Form College. Ian secured his fellowship to the ACCA in 2000. Additionally, Ian was invited as a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) in 2007, and then gained Fellowship in January 2018.

Born and educated in York, Ian celebrated 30 years in the profession in 2015. His experience in local accountancy practice progressed from junior accounts clerk to audit & accounts senior, to manager and then partner in 2005.

Ian specialises in providing advice, reporting and taxation services to owner managed companies, LLP's, partnerships and sole traders across varied business sectors. These services straddle the business lifespan from inception, through growth and onto final exit strategies. Ian is also the lead advisor on all business acquisition and disposal assignments.

Outside of working hours Ian is a keen follower of football and participates in running, hiking and cycling to keep fit. Ian also has keen interests in travel, cinema and music.
